All I know is if you have to give blood work or get shots, you can ask for numbing spray and they will go find some. Its like an aerosol can. I was on Amazon and there are number of different lidocaine options but I'm not sure what is different in those. I only know about EMLA from a diabetic friend who used it for a bit. My RE told me to take the doxy on a full stomach. I know the bottle says not to take with food, but my RE said that a full stomach is much better. I am horrible with pills and I haven't gotten sick on the doxy once (I was taking them last week and will start tomorrow again after my ER). I am on everything right now. My personal feelings are that I hate Doxy. I am sitting at work waiting for a 9 am meeting praying I don't puke (note, in my entire life I can count the number of times I have puked. I have an iron stomach. The last time was 3 years ago on Doxy driving to the doctor's office).</p> <p>I am also allergic to the EMLA numbing cream which is the ONLY way I can do the progesterone injections. We only have like 6 more weeks of this and the NON allergic spots on my butt are getting low. And of course I can't take anything. I have Buzzy on it's way but it won't be stocked at amazon until Thursday.</p> <p>But I know it is totally worth it. The means to the end. </p>
