I felt the same way with my LO. Once he turned 1 it was much easier to feel more relaxed and actually be able to enjoy the day rather than just trying to get through it. Yesterday was awesome. We went to a children's museum in the afternoon and M could have spent all day there, she had a a blast! Today we spent a few hours at the pool. My child is going to be a water child and that makes me so happy. My husband finally comes home tomorrow. I don't know how you army wives and wives with husband's who travel do it!!! Mega props. Last night was a little rough--dd threw up and I had to sleep in her room with her. Thankfully baby boy sttn til past 7. We had a great day. It's so beautiful outside, we took a long stroll to the carousel and zoo. LO and I got to feed some very hungry and greedy farm animals, the zoo had 2 new seal pups at the sea lion show, and there was the tiniest baby baboon born yesterday. But Dh took the baby this morning so I could keep sleeping and just brought her to me to eat and I basically napped until 1. AND he cleaned the apartment while I slept, including cleaning the bathrooms for the first time in the four years we've lived together! After all that I've been feeling much better and as soon as C is done eating I'm having a nice glass of wine! I stayed in my pjs all day for the first time in my adult life! I've had a glass of wine this evening and a huge chocolate pudding. Its made hanging out with my two week old a lot more fun - instead of rushing about, tidying the house, making sure I look presentable, trying to get DD into good sleep habits, I've been snuggling and lounging about! It's a momentous occasion. 13 months + 12 days. It's taken that long for me to feel like I could maybe relax a little. If this continues, I might even consider trying for another. Haha.
