I might have to start using lotions or something on my breasts. I usually ignore them but they have gone out of control itchy recently. A humidifier isn't a bad idea, @Clementine!

I am always itchy too! My arms and back are the worst! My dermatologist recommended Sarna menthol lotion which cools & makes me itch less but it smells like crap!!

I didn't really itch with DS, but this time, Oh man! I got stretch marks on my back from DS from my skin getting stretched to the front.

This time, my belly has been itching. And of course the boobs!

Oh my goodness, my legs used to itch SOOOOO bad! The only thing that made it feel better was when DH would rub them with tons of lotion. I don't know if it was his rubbing, the lotion, or the combo, but that was the only way I would get relief. The worst part was that it was always at bedtime, too!

@mrs. marbles - my itches correlate with stretch marks so far too! so it's basically just been my boobs that itch, though sometimes my lower belly itches, too. no stretch marks there yet, though *knock on wood*

My belly and boobs were crazy itchy, and I got some Blackthorn Body Oil made by Dr. Hauschka (love all their skincare stuff – you can order online, find in some salons and also at Whole Foods). It’s designed for pregnancy to help with stretch marks, and it makes your skin really, really, really soft all day long! Other than that, extra lotion, which I usually have to do heading into winter anyhow.

Yes! My back has been super itchy. Unfortunately, mine definitely results form the fact that my skin has gone crazy since getting pregnant. My back is as bad as my face ever was when I was a teenager. It's oily and dry at the same time, and I'm developing backne. Groan.

I had extreme itchiness when I was pregnant. To the point where I was scratching myself raw. I am pretty sure I had PUPPS.

Try buying a bar of Grandpa's Pine Tar Soap off of Amazon. It has a strong scent, but it really works to stop the itchiness!

I have sensitive skin and tried all sorts of creams and lotions. What works best for me is simply: water + lotion. I basically go into the bathroom, get a handful of warm water and wet whatever it is that's itchy and while it's wet, I put on Aveeno lotion.

I'm usually able to hop into bed and sleep itch free immediately afterwards.

I was beyond itchy (at night to start- was convinced it was the new fabric softener that I used on the bedsheets) Then I got the I just don't feel right feeling. Went for a blood draw and was diagnosed with ICP - inter hepatic cholestasis of pregnancy and was immediately induced (I was 38 weeks 2 days). Super rare, and hoping that I never have to go through it again- but it has a tendency to reoccur in people.

I'm itchy, too. It sort of comes and goes, but some weeks it's like I can't scratch enough. My scalp, boobs, stomach, shoulders and back just itch like crazy. Contributing to it is simply the fact that my skin is getting drier now that it's Winter.

Yes i had that really bad. Talk to your doctor, it may be PUPPP, i had it really bad, especially in the summer. You can put hydrocortisone cream on it, oatmeal baths (but dont make the water too hot) and take benedryl (it's safe for the baby).

I did find out that I was having an allergic reaction/hypersensitivity to my DHA supplement, so once I stopped those I haven't been as itchy. But I just made an appt with my allergist, because I can't stand it anymore!

Anyone else experiencing/experience insane itchiness while pregnant? So far it's my boobs and back that have been itchy. I get the boobs, the back I'm curious about. Is my back growing??Haha. Hubs and I now have a routine down. Every evening he scratches my back until I'm satisfied and then covers it in lotion.
