I'd pumped right before the last bottle LO had and he'd woken up hungry and I was empty so I had to give him what I'd just pumped... I was so annoyed with myself! So far, I've had plenty of milk and haven't had much engorgement, so I'm content to totally ditch the pump if this appt goes well! Lol can't throw away breastmilk that's still in my breasts! I'm really excited :) it's really life-changing lol no more washing bottle after bottle after bottle (I pumped into 2.5oz Medela bottles, fortified in 8oz Medela bottles, and fed in Dr. Brown's bottles), no more arguing with DH over wasted breastmilk, no more spending hours a day attached to the pump, no more guessing how much to put in a bottle... And LO is way less fussy now that he's not drinking from bottles or getting the fortifier, so he's much happier :) it's so cool to be able to just pick him up, unbutton my tank top, and nurse. DH and I were watching SNL and LO was acting hungry, rather than arguing over who should feed him, one of us getting up, prepping and warming a bottle, then feeding him, I just scooped him up, nursed him, and kept on watching SNL and talking to DH. It was awesome :) @katsupgirl: as long as his weight gain is good on Monday, we can go without the fortifier.
