DS was sunny side up, crooked and face out so it took longer and I did get an epidural, but if he weren't in a bad position I would've been able to have a pitocin/IV-free birth. Had she been position correctly, I could have pushed her out. After pushing for so long though, the c-section was welcomed and the recovery was not bad at all. In fact, I was up and walking in no time. As much as I feared the c-section prior to labor, I was pleasantly surprised how it wasn't horrible at all. I was due on a Monday and was induced two days later because I had not dilated AT ALL and I was sooooo miserable that my doctor thought it was best for me to be induced earlier rather than later. As scared as I was of induction, I couldn't handle the itching for another second. I am keeping every single finger and toe crossed that I do not get it again this pregnancy. </p> <p>I hope the best for you and can't wait to hear how everything goes. </p> <p>P.S. I also got an on-call doc that I had never met but I LOVED her. She was great and was with us from the first push to my c-section (4 something hours later). She even was texting my doc in between pushes to give her updates. I woke up at 5am at 40+6 and just started bawling. I continued to cry on the couch until DH woke up and saw me on his way out the door for work. The entire day I felt off. Everything ached (more than normal), and my hips felt like they would slip out of joint with every step. Looking back, I realize that I had some small contractions too, but they didn't hurt enough for me to think twice about them. I went into labor at 2am the next morning. I felt normal, was having lots of braxton hicks for a few weeks, and then one day they started to get a bit painful. Once that happened, my labor just kept gaining steam until I had my beautiful little girl. I was in labor for almost a day but ended up having LO vaginally (with an epi)! Also, I got 2 membrane sweeps....so, I am on the right track for a timely delivery. </p> <p>Am I supposed to be feeling anything? Did anyone go into labor out of the blue or did you have an ery feeling all day that you would? Is there a chance I can still go today even though I feel NOTHING? Like literally, I have felt more when I was 36w along than I do today. :/ </p>
