how old is your LO? M went through a horrible patch of separation anxiety from 10-12 months, and she would wake up every.single.night multiple times screaming. It was absolutely awful, and my DH works 3rds, so it was all me getting up with her every night. It got exhausting, and I was definitely running off of fumes but it passed.... hang in there mama!

I don't know if this would help, but it sometimes keeps me sane...

When we were at the hospital, the lactation consultant gave us general tips on how to feed the baby or just general advice. One of the things she said is that babies cry if they're bored or want to play...sometimes if my daughter is wide awake at 1 or even 3am I just get up with her and play for a while and them try to put her back to sleep. It might be counterproductive or whatever, but it works for us (:

No words of wisdom but you are definitely not alone in feeling like this. We have struggled with sleep since LO was born. He has been awake since 4:15am, and this is not unusual.

Words of wisdom from my husband. He wasn't up from 3-5am with a screaming child tonight (and the night before that, and before that, and so on and so on...). Thank GOD I don't have to work tomorrow. So I'm lying in bed listening to my child attempting to CIO. It's not working. I may consider my wake-up time 3am today. AWESOME.

I'm on the verge of tears at every moment. How do I get this child to sleep?!?!

Nobody has to explain why people have one child. This is all the explanation I need.
