I guess its not a totally uncommon problem. And my cervix never ripened or dialated at all since my LO was a footling breech. My cervix is not my friend. </p> <p>Thanks for all the encouragement. Ive been really upset all day and I feel a little better now. My attempt to get an IUD was also a total failure (though I haven't had a baby). I got super dizzy, cold, and almost threw up and eventually they told me my uterus was tilted so far back that they couldn't force the IUD any more without risking puncturing anything. That was several years ago, and sure enough at my recent HSG I saw that my uterus is totally tilted backwards! So, no IUD for me. Did they say anything to you about why this happened? I had a scheduled c section. </p> <p>@Mrsbells: The obgyn's in my area don't stock IUD's so you have to personally order then from the manufacturer (CVS Caremark). So the doctor has to try and convince them to reimburse me because they couldn't insert it. I went in to have my IUD placed and after 15 minutes of pure torture, almost passing out and puking, they could not get my IUD past my cervix. So now they have to try and convince the salesman to reimburse my $850 (which might not happen), and I feel awful and sore and cried for a good hour. I guess every once and a while someone comes around whose cervix just won't cooperate. I even took a medication that was supposed to help relax it. This is just a rant because I'm sad, but has anyone else had this issue? </p>
