My friend conceived twin girls via IUI. She told me girls are more likely because of what they do with the sperm. We had twins: one of each gender. They had us have intercouse the night of the tigger shot which was Saturday night and then we had our IUI Monday morning. Looking back, the 'science' of this makes sense. I was using OPK's and had a really dark one on Wed and a clear positive on Thursday. On Friday morning we did the IUI and did not BD at all before on the days leading up to it.
