I worked with a lot of international people when I worked in NYC and it drove me bonkers when the Americans would pick up their use of "cheers". But I will say there is no one American word that can replace all the uses of "cheers". But then yesterday I was saying to someone and the word "cheers" popped out as I was closing the door!</p> <p>Do you say the word cheers... is it something that Americans say now?
