There is death mentioned and we decided that we would let the surviving spouse decide what to do. Based on the choices your clinic gave you, I'm guessing that your clinic doesn't have a donation program. </p> <p>BUT, even if your clinic doesn't have a program for donating embryos, you can still choose another program around the country to donate your embryos to and they would allow you to be part of the process of who receives your embryos. I did think of the questions you have and I would assume this is something that should be discussed in the divorce papers, if it came to that. We chose to have them discarded in case of divorce. In case of death of one partner, we chose to have embryos go to the sole possession of the other person.
