Hello all,

Our first child is almost a year old and we’ve been discussing TTC#2.
I’ve been diagnosed with PCOS and was able to get pregnant with our first on the 3rd try using femara (13 months total TTC).

For reasons I would rather not get into right now my husbands sperm may not be viable for a second child. (We find out in January and have sperm banked at Mount Sinai in Toronto right now).
If his sperm isn’t viable we’ll be going the IVF route, we have our first appointment in February. It just occurred to me last night that my BMI might be a factor that I hadn’t considered. (It’s currently 41).
While I am in the process of getting healthy and losing weight, I highly doubt it’ll be in the ‘normal’ range by February!

I’m hoping to hear some experiences of high BMI and IVF, and what clinics you may recommend in the GTA. Currently we’re checking out Newmarket, Oshawa, and Orillia.

Just to be clear I’m not concerned about being able to get pregnant, I’m more so concerned that they won’t even take me as a patient!
Thank you!
