We signed up for and were about to participate in a trial when I ended up getting pregnant. The only negative I saw was that they cant make adjustments to the protocol depending on how your body reacts. They have to do everyone's the same in the trial. The doctor told me that this isn't the protocol he would have used for me but thought it probably was worth still trying.

Hello!

My husband and I are trying to wade through a new infertility diagnosis and figure out the best way to use our limited insurance coverage.

My RE wants a few more tests before deciding our next course of action. My brain doesn't work on "wait and see" so I've been researching like crazy the different next steps. I found one of the clinics we are considering for a second opinion is offering an IVF trial. Its a comparison study of two FDA approved medications. I was just curious if anyone has participated in a similar study or if you would consider participating in a study like this. It sounds like a good opportunity but I wonder if I am overlooking some obvious negatives.
