I thought it was incredibly interesting and brought up a lot of really good points. </p> <p>I feel sort of torn though. The example of Harvard made SO MUCH sense...because they have a massive endowment. But the school I went to and worked for doesn't. And we do rely a lot on tuition to keep us going. </p> <p>As much as I hate to admit it (I swore I'd never donate to the school until my loans were paid off), I think it makes a really good case alumni giving (especially for smaller niche schools). Not only does it help the endowment, but one of the ways USNews does their rankings is by alumni engagement.
