We tried to have the car warmed before bringing him out as well </p> <p>I think a good trick to find out if it's too thick and put them in the car seat with it on, then with it off and compare the difference - is there slack in the straps with it off? If you pinch it and your fingers get a lot closer, it isn't going to be safe in a carseat. What about something like that? She is now walking, and with two LO's I need her to walk from point A to point B. I need something that will keep her warm but possibly something that can be used in her car seat as well. I know it has to be relatively thin, so any suggestions? We are on a budget so something less than $40 is preferable. </p>
