All of you mentioned things that are different for me too.
Definitely more tired in the first trimester. It has gotten better now. Thankfully we also slowly but surely seem to be getting over the sleep regression. That didn't help with tiredness. My boobs are actually smaller this time but overall I'm still a good 20lbs under the weight I was at, at this time with B. They have grown like crazy though so maybe it'll change soon. My bump is maybe a little bigger but not by much. That was more noticeable in the first couple of months than now. My back is still ok but when I have to haul B (who's also 30lbs) all day I definitely have a sore back. I guess that's one of the good things about being a WOHM - I only have to lift him in the morning and at night.

@keepcalmcarrie: Na your diet sounds well balanced fruit/icecream; juice/chocolate and some carbs - you're doing great ;-) (Sounds a lot like mine by the way although I prefer just salted chips).

@MapleMoose: I definitely notice her less on the days where I spend whole days with B. I don't have the "time" to pay attention to it. Now at work I feel her moving around in there like crazy .

@Radish: Same thing with the weird emotionalness. I never knew what people were talking about with B but this time... oh boy, I have cried due to the weirdest things!

@bhbee: Sorry all the bad things seem to be coming back already for you! Hope the swelling etc won't be as bad as last time. And so true about being less worried. It's a lot more thinking, "well I've survived it before I'm sure I can do it again."

Yay, forgot about this thread!

I am a lot more sore/tired than last time. That's definitely because I'm chasing J around all day, hauling his 30 lb behind in and out of car seats and high chairs and carts. My lower back just CAN'T at the end of the day.

My boobs are a lot bigger than they were last time. It's like I'm breastfeeding again, they're out of control. Bump is slightly bigger than 21 weeks with J, but not by a lot.

Cravings are mostly the same - mild, and a lot of the stuff I like anyway. Fruit, ice cream, bagels, grapefruit juice, chocolate, salt and vinegar chips. Yikes, I just realized how very unhealthy my diet sounds!

Sweatpants have never felt better in my life than they do these days.

Didn't know this thread existed. Hi ladies!

I am not as swollen or carrying as much water weight this time, thus I've put on much less weight. Last pregnancy I was in the 3rd trimester during the humid, hot summer months so I swelled right up all over. Also I don't have the same appetite. I get hungry this time but I can't always grab something to eat right away and I don't wake up ravenous in the middle of the night like I did with #1. The cravings were stranger with #1 and I wanted weird combinations of food. The bump seems to be similar in size and shape although the ladies are larger this time around. I felt movement earlier with #1, but that may be because I'm busy chasing LO around and don't get much down time.

Yay for a little thread revival.

My first trimester knocked me down much harder than with LO1, but things seem to be regulating and I feel about the same at this point as I did last time. I'm not eating as healthy since I don't pack a lunch for work this time. I think my bump may be a tad bigger, but mostly on track with how I grew last time.

Also I am way more emotional this time. I am not a crier and even with LO1 that didn't change, but this time I have gotten teary over shows and movies like crazy.

@Pumuckl: I forgot this thread existed! :)

even though we have a different gender my pregnancies are pretty similar. definitely showing earlier, but less weight gained by same point. it looks about the same in terms of shape though. which is to say, it takes me forever to get a cute bump vs just looking lumpy!

this one has been harder in terms of MS and especially headaches, but other symptoms seem the same (same sciatic pain, same swelling starting, etc). I suspect feeling crappy is just a lot harder when you already have a toddler, plus my work is more stressful now.

I'm definitely less anxious about things though, and was super excited to pick out another nursery! and pretty excited about the whole big sister thing.

Hey all you second time mamas:
How are things for you? Any different from last time around?

For me I seem to be carrying differently. While my seatbelt never slipped over my belly with #1 it does constantly with #2. Actually got one of these belt retainers a couple of weeks ago to keep baby safe.

Foodwise I craved anything and everything dairy last time, this time I don't dislike it but it's not like I NEED it RIGHT NOW. I did not feel like eating anything sweet with #1 but love me some chocolate with this one.

How about you?

@oliviaoblivia: Similarly, I'll be shocked if this one is a girl - just because I have a boy already. I was pretty sure DS was a girl before he was born (clearly we were TG) so my mama intuition might not be super strong.

I LOVE little girl clothes, it's getting harder and harder for me to find clothes I like for DS. He's already in 24 month clothes, we've nicknamed him Hoss - and he looks a little ridiculous in the classic, somewhat babyish clothes I still love to put him in, but I don't care! Boys clothes are a challenge. That would be one thing I'd be so excited for if this one is a girl. SO MANY BABY DRESSES.

DS is 14 months old, and will be 22 months with this LO arrives. I'd like a girl at some point, but I think it would be really fun (and somewhat crazy) to have two little boys close in age. I'm happy with either!

And similar to @Pumuckl:, I think we'll want #3 regardless. Probably within 2 years or so as well. I'd like at least 3, possibly 4 or 5. But talk to me after I have two

@ValentineMommy: hmm feeling a little more queasy but then I also still nurse my 13m old and solo parent him 4days a week (or 5.5 days this week :( ) So I guess the situation isn't quite comparable either.

I think I want a #3 regardless of what we're having this time. I loved being one of 3 growing up.

@ValentineMommy: Last time was a breeze and this time I'm pretty sure I've felt worse than I ever did my whole pregnancy last time. I don't think it has a thing to do with gender, I think my body was already on hormonal overdrive this cycle and it is just continuing into pregnancy.

First pregnancy I had very little nausea. It was only triggered by certain smells and caffeine. Instead I had a constant metallic taste in my mouth. This time around I am feeling nausea almost all the time. I am hoping that the different symptoms means that it will be a girl this time. :)

if all goes well LO will be almost 3 when LO#2 is born - due dates 10 days apart. I'm nearly the same with my brother and it never bothered me to have birthdays close together, but I think it was a lot for my mom! I'm not sure to wish for a later birth date to be further from Christmas, or earlier to put the birthdays further apart.

LO is a girl and I'm ok with either gender. in some ways it would be nice to have a boy too, in some ways another girl is easier (and I'd love to re-use the clothes, this is most likely our last).

@ValentineMommy: my sisters birthdays are five days apart (and just a few after my mom's bday) birthday week was always so much fun growing up. Hopefully I can recreate that with my kids.
I really want to push the birth as far from christmas as I can while giving a little breathing room to DD's bday. My due date would do just fine.

DS is 13m old, born 4/4/13, so he'll be 21.5/22m when #2 comes around. It'll definitely be interesting to parent 2 under 2 solo during the week.

Are you guys hoping for one or the other sex this time around? I'm not sure, I love being a boy mama and a girl scares me but it'd still be cool to have one of each. So I'll be happy with either.
