@birdofafeather: that's an intense dream!

I think 2-3 years in between is ideal, too. I originally thought 2, but after being on vacation with my brother's family, I'm rethinking it. He and SIL have 3 girls that are each 2 years apart. The youngest is now 5, and they are just now able to relax a little! So I'm now thinking 3 years apart might be better.

I thought AF had returned a couple months ago, but it was just a tiny bit of bleeding for a few hours. No idea what that was. Hasn't happened since. I'm happy about it! I'm hoping she stays away for a nice long time.

@allison: i just recently went through my photos again. i'm pretty happy with how i look because my labor was so short! ha. my doula got some crazy shots all up in my business which no one but DH and i will ever see, but the rest are good.

@dagret: still AF free, although i had a dream last week that i woke up soaked in blood because it was my first period. i would be okay not having it until i wean after a year! :)

@Cain13: i kinda wish we had some video because i said something funny when my OB was there (during the last 15 minutes before R was born) but none of us (DH, doula or I) can remember what i said!

@oliviaoblivia: no fever for me! i know approximately 15 people (not an exaggeration) that are pregnant! two of them are my BFFs, so i'm okay with no newborns! DH is also going to fire academy (paying his own way) so we're back to the place we were last fall with only me making an income! we've been able to swing it with 1 baby, but DH needs a real job before we starting thinking #2. in my head, 2-3 years between R and #2 is perfect. :)

@oliviaoblivia: I know!!! I wish I could've just gone BC free after having Xander, but because of FMLA, I HAD to make sure I didn't get pregnant under Xander turns 6 months. It'll be fun to be TTCing together again, although hopefully it won't be for very long! :) Or maybe you'll get pregnant before I even start!

@oliviaoblivia: Were you on any BC prior? I'm on the mini pill at the moment, but am thinking I want to go off it at six months because we always wanted kids close in age. But I'm excited you might be TTC again soon!!! We can be back on the TTC boards together again!!

@allison: we got L the second month we timed things right.

@Adira: it was three days after solid so I must have ovulated first. Just a happy coincidence with solids I think. She had been STTN for three months by that point.

Still getting dh on board. He thinks we should try in the months. I think we should try next Tuesday.

Ugh. I wish I had better pics post birth. After 47 hours of labor, a c-section, and a 1am delivery I looked like CRAP!
And then I didn't get a shower for two days. Bleh.
I'm totally planning on primping for the next delivery.

I've had AF twice so far. She arrived three days after we started solids. At least she is as punctual as she used to be. It'll make number two easier to plan.

Anyone else have the fever?

@Cain13: I am glad I have them, for sure. They just won't be shown to ANYONE, ever. Ha. I have a couple right after he was born, when he was on my chest, with his umbilical cord still attached! I really love that, for some reason. But yeah, I was UGLY crying, that's why I look so terrible! Ha. My face is all contorted and I look like I'm having a mental breakdown. Which, I guess I kind of was!

@allison: I have the photo of them first putting him into my arms. I'm actually ok with the way I looked. Since I started having contractions at 2am and couldn't go back to sleep, I took my time doing my hair and make-up just because I needed something to do. I also had a quick labor so I didn't have as much time to mess it all up. I couldn't stop crying when they gave him to me...... the emotions were just so huge and I'm glad my mom thought to snap a picture. So to the average observer I look a mess, but I am happy with it.

What I didn't know my mom had done until after was video with her iPad. I didn't want video... but since there was no video camera in the delivery room, I thought it was a non-issue. I didn't think about Mom's Ipad. Looking back, I am happy she did it now. She didn't get any "X rated" shots and it was just a small clip of his first cry as soon he was delivered. I am happy I have that now.

@dagret: AF has been visiting me for the past 2 months. :( Not happy about it.

Do you have any photos of you right after the birth of your LO? There was a thread about birth photography the other day that prompted me to dig up the photos my doula took that I haven't really looked at since having E.

Y'all. I looked so awful! I'm not surprised considering how intense my l&d was, but damn... Seriously, so scary. Ha. I would like to make "try to look less frightening" a goal for my next delivery.

@dagret: I guess I did, by accident. I got about 7 inches cut off, only wanted 4 or 5 taken off but it will grow back. I didnt realize until last week how much hair I lost...and that I am still losing :( I have so much of the little fussy hair growing in around my hairline it constantly looks ridiculous. lol

Name: Dylan
Birthday: 10/7/12 (1/17/13)
Current weight: 13 lbs 5 ounces
Current height: 26.5 inches
Clothing size: 3 months (sleepers 6 month+)
Diaper size: 2

Feeding: 50%bm, 50%f with some scattered tastes of solids. He's been really increasing his intake lately! He's gone from averaging 22 ounces a day to a record of 29.5 this week! He still eats frequently, between 3 and 4 ounces usually, but sometimes more. He's not a big fan of purees but likes gnawing on melon and bread :).

Milestones: he can sit unassisted for a few seconds, but is too active to want to put his hands down to tripod. I can feel his first tooth, but it hasn't appeared quite yet. He's making new noises every day.

Sleep/Naps: we're getting closer to having a predictable schedule. He goes to bed from about 8 to 6 and then takes 3 naps usually.

Struggles: getting to sleep at night although its getting much better! Feeding has always been a struggle and continues to be. It's fine, but I'm anxious to get him on the growth chart some day!

Wins: being greeted with a huge smile every time he sees me! (He smiles at everybody!) getting lots and lots of giggles.

How's daddy doing?: great. Dylan gets so excited whenever he sees him! He still does morning duty every day.

What are you looking forward to?: talking. I love when he can communicate with me. Currently it's in pushing the bottle away or pulling it towards him, but I can't wait to get real words!

Favorite toy/activity: we have a soft toy with lots of rings that he loves. Also his Freddy the Firefly. He likes everything he can out in his mouth!

Teeth: so close! But none yet.

Name: Eli, aka "Li'l Turd". That's his rapper name.

Birthday: Feb. 2nd (I was due Jan. 21st and am cheating by staying with my Jan. mamas!)

Current weight: ~20 lbs, I guess. His appt isn't for another 2 weeks.

Current height: 27 inches

Clothing size: some 9 month stuff, mostly 12 month or 12-18 month

Diaper size: size 4 disposables, M/L Kissaluvs fitteds

Feeding: EBF about every 4 hours. Sometimes he only makes it 3. Haven't started solids yet, except for a few tastes here and there. Probably will after our 6 month checkup.

Milestones: He's sitting up pretty well. Still needs a spot because he sometimes does a backwards free-fall which doesn't end well. He's rolled over a few times, so we know he can! He just chooses not to. He generally hates tummy time, so I'm not sure what we're going to do about the crawling situation.

Sleep/Naps: He either takes two long naps or 3 shorter ones. And he's moved his night sleep times from 9 to 9, to 7 to 7. I'm not a fan, but that's okay. He has random wake-ups during the night. Sometimes just one, sometimes 2-3. He nurses and goes right back to sleep, so I'm cool with it.

Struggles: tummy time and diaper rashes (he gets them easily when he poops)

Wins: we just got back from vacationing at the beach, and I was worried before we went about if his sleep would be affected. The first night (after being in the car for 10 hours), though he took a little longer going down, he slept until 5am! Definite win for both of us!

How's daddy doing?: Wonderfully! I love that he gets to be home with E all day (works from home). I do most of the baby stuff like diapering and putting down for sleep (I don't mind at all), but he loves hanging out and playing with the baby.

What are you looking forward to?: After spending a week at the beach and not really spending any actual time at the beach, I'm looking forward to one nap a day!

Favorite toy/activity: He really likes his Kitty Tails book and Sophie. He also likes any/all straps or strings (i.e. the drawstrings on his shorts) that he can get in his mouth and chew/suck on.

Teeth: none yet. I think he's teething? He loves to rub his toys on his gums.
