Jag pull-on jeans. They're seriously amazing.

There is no zipper in the front. They pull on like maternity jeans, but the "panel" part is actually elasticized jean material. They smooth out my mommy pooch.

@nana87: Same! My butt is tiny, and my midsection is squishy and loose after pregnancy, but my thighs are slimmer from chasing around my toddler. Loft modern skinny jeans are my current favorite.

My waist is not where I carry the bulk of my extra weight but I do love a high waisted jean because I think it's the most flattering for my shape. I just want to plug Gap 1969 jeans in the higher rise. I think they're great and they go on sale all the time. Mine fit through like 16-17 weeks pregnant so I think they're pretty stretchy and forgiving.

@runnerd: I had the opposite problem with the side panel maternity pants as @PinkElephant. Mine kept falling down until recently and I'm due in 2 weeks! So it's not necessarily a vanity thing not to wear them anyway
I was checking for suggestions more than being able to offer any. I will need new post partum jeans because the last pair I bought are worn out. They were Express and low rise so probably not what you are looking for.

@runnerd: What can I say, I have no shame! :) I definitely wore a pair of elastic waist jeggings (OMG fashion crime) for way longer than was appropriate after DD2 was born...but hey, they looked cute in the butt/legs and the my shirts always covered the waist, so I figured OH WELL! :) :)

I have been battling this problem since forever - I have a flat butt, wide hips and a belly. All the jeggings stretchy jeans fit horribly, slip down and aren't flattering on me. My current find is a bit out of the ordinary - Levis men's 510 skinny fit jeans! I honestly suggest trying them on, the are a slim skinny leg (not stuck to your leg), they have 98%cotton 2% elastane so are nice and firm, and look like a great girlfriend/boyfriend when cuffed at the ankle.

Don't hate me for this suggestion, but would you consider the "hidden"/"side panel" style of maternity jeans that have heavy duty elastic where the pockets should be? They give more at the waist than typical jeans would, allowing them to stretch, say, a size...but the legs/tush/other parts where you don't need to size up would still fit the same. As long as you're not wearing midi/crop tops with them, no one would be the wiser to the pockets...I feel like they'd also prevent the gap at the back that sometimes happens when you're on the floor with a LO and your jeans don't fit as well as you'd like them to (*speaking with experience on that one, haha*).

I found them to be great for the earlier parts of my pregnancy when I was bloated with a little extra weight around the waist rather than having an actual bump, and I am envisioning my pairs of jeans like this becoming a post-baby staple. Honestly, I don't think I'll be embarrassed to wear them, even if I do get "caught", though I don't imagine I will - they're pretty discrete!

I do TOTALLY understand that some people absolutely would never want to wear maternity clothes postpartum, so please don't take offense if you hate the idea.

The new higher rise gap jeans are amazing. Also it's a pretty easy and inexpensive alteration to take in a waist/have a seam put in on jeans as long as you don't mind seeing a seam. A friend from grad school taught me that. She had an impossibly tiny waist and big gun thighs and booty.

Do high rise jeans accentuate the "mama pooch"?? I definitely have one and I feel like if I wear high rise jeans, and a somewhat not 100% flowy top, I feel like a mom from the 80's....

Same here. I haven't found a pair of jeans I "love," but I am happiest wearing high-rise jeans. They contain my waist area and don't fall down. My low rise jeans made me feel so gross with the muffin top and falling down, and my mid rise jeans are so uncomfortable cutting into my belly. I've found high rise jeans at target, old navy and Jc Penny. I just have to try on a bunch of styles and sizes to find something that fits decently. So I'd recommend having plenty of time to shop and try on and searching for the high rise styles.

Yep, I have this problem too. The closest I've come to a good pair of jeans is the American Eagle Hi-Rise ones (specifically flare for me since I have wide hips I need to balance out). They aren't perfect, but they come close!

I carry extra weight on my waist, so the correct fit for my thighs and butt tends to run a size smaller than my waist - so I always battle baggy butt jeans! Anyone else with this problem? What's your perfect fit/brand jeans?
