She has no standing to bring the racial discrimination case. If the plaintiff could prove that she was retaliated or discriminated based on her association with the protected class then I would imagine there would be some teeth in her case. From a legal stand point it makes sense that you must be the person affected to bring a claim. However if I witness some form of discrimination against a different race from me and I report it, I would be dissappointed to hear to get this answer. </p>
