They didn't even tell me I needd a full bladder so I was fine. It took about an hour. So....it seems like I was right, there is a little boy in there "baby A" and there is a little girl "baby B". I can't believe we are having exactly what we wanted. It's going to be great.</p> <p>One of my cousin's who was expecting twins had their babies on Friday so we have some built in playmates! I'm really hoping to give birth naturally too, but we'll see what options the babies give me :) Even though I have plenty of friends in med school, I never made the July 1st connection.....good to know, thanks!</p> <p>Agreed, if we were only having one, it would be easier to wait and be surprised on the gender, but with two, it makes planning so much easier.</p> <p>And for the anatomy scan: even though I was really uncomfortable holding my bladder in the waiting room, once I was horizontal on the table, it wasn't that bad. I think maybe because the tech was pressing higher on my belly most of the time (vs. my embryo transfer where the u/s pressed really low). They also had a bathroom right in the scanning room, so it was quick to pop in right after. My midwives hope to get me through the July 4th weekend but I am hoping for the last week of June. Just my own craziness- both my parents work in hospitals so for years they always complain about all the interns who start at all hospitals July 1st. I don't want to be the one room they all run to looking for the twin mom trying to give birth naturally. You know?</p> <p>It stinks you didn't get good pictures. The pictures from my 12 week scan are really terrible. I think the only reason I see anything is I know what I am looking at, my Mom just see's gray. As for the time on table - I was scared about it being over an hour. I don't know if I can hold "it" (you know) for that long. I can barely go a half hour during the day. At least it is at 8am so I will not have had to much to eat/drink. </p> <p>We are going to find out the gender but only because it is twins. I think it would be to hard for me to get ready not knowing. I didn't want to find out, but my husband told me I would drive him crazy. For sure, we want a girl and for some reason I am convinced there is at least 1 boy in there. It is the fact that it is twins that I can't seem to figure it out. But we figure they'll probably come closer to the beginning of the month....hopefully not any sooner.</p> <p>We had an anatomy scan at 16 weeks and the babies looked healthy and a few days big, but the photos didn't turn out the greatest for the doctors to analyze, so we get another at 20 weeks. We did learn that we're having a boy and a girl though! :) But be prepared for a REALLY long scan with twins - it was over 1.5 hours!
