Jumperoo for sure if you can get one used. If not then excersaucer used. It's probably her most used toy. Lives in the kitchen for when I'm cooking.

@Pirouette: Well, we have the same one as @blackbird: and you can see in the picture... it's not small or compact. It takes up about the same floor space as a play mat/activity gym thing. But we live in a 2 bed condo and think it is worth the space for now!

@rahlyrah: omg I love this pic!! Hahaha.

@lawbee11: that's the one that got the best reviews on amazon. How old was she when you started using it?

@ShootingStar: so cute!!

@Foodnerd81: is it really huge? Like can it be stored away? I'm not as worried about long term storage but I don't want it to take up my whole apartment haha.

We also platformed under the jumperoo. I used a big couch cushion!

Try Craigslist. I bought a used one for the next baby for $50 at a consignment sale. I borrowed one from a a friend for E.

We put a folded towel under the jumperoo and it stayed well enough. She loves bouncing in it still! We have the Fisher Price Rainforest jumperoo and it's a hit. We got it on Craigslist for $40-- and since it takes up so much room, I plan to sell it again once she outgrows it and buy another when we have another baby :)

My LO is loving the jumperoo. He's still a little short for it at 4.5 months, so we put a folded up blanket under it and it works perfectly. Not the best pic of the setup, but it should give you an idea.

Fisher price rainforest jumperoo for sure. My LO is 8 months old and still obsessed. When she was younger we put a pillow down so she could jump.

@swedishfish: I was thinking of doing that - does it work well? Like does the pillow stay in place? I worry she'd kick it away constantly.

@Emsmems: wow that is awesome! I'll have to see what I can find. I'm not sure her current length but as of a month ago I think she was just under 23. She's had 2 growth spurts since then but I'm guessing she's still much shorter than average...

I have found that jumperoos are on craigslist all the time! I just bought a Baby Einstein one for $35!! The fabric seat is removable and washable, then I just wiped down the plastic.

From the reviews I read, the Baby Einstein one starts at a lower height than the fisher price ones. How long is your LO? My guy was 23.75" at his last appointment and he just barely can touch the floor when sitting in it!

We put a pillow under LO's feet in the jumperoo until she could reach the floor herself. She started using the jumperoo around 4.5 months.

My lo is 4 months and she's a shorty. But she loves to stand and bounce on us, and I think she's getting sick of her bouncer. She is not sitting unassisted yet but has a very strong head/neck. The only other thing she has is a little activity gym.

What toy should we upgrade to? I feel like she'd enjoy bouncing around in a jumperoo, but I worry she'll be way too short for it. And they are expensive! We also have limited space.

Is a jumperoo best? If so, is one better than the others? If not a jumperoo, any other ideas?
