I was recently summoned in 2015 and it was pretty boring. My parents didn't tell me until a week before jury duty, but I was able to write to them in time asking to be excused (primary caretaker of my two LOs). I have been summoned twice since then, and my excuse remains the same. It's been a week since I wrote to them, and I haven't heard back yet. Back then I was pregnant and childcare provider of DD1 so I got a pass.</p> <p>Not trying to shirk my civil duties and I'm going to call them and let them know.</p> <p>But I just thought it was odd! </p>
