@Seattlemom: I just got a Canon T3, and haven't figured out how to use it yet. I did get a timbuk2 case that I really like.

@redsmarties: Hey! I wanted to bump this post, since I just got a DSLR too! Hows it going with yours? I've been reading Mr. Bee and Mrs. Chocolate photography posts and think I want to try learning to shoot in manual mode.

For Bees that take their DSLR everywhere- any camera case tips?

I'm looking at the Canon t3i, I figured it's a good starter camera for a complete novice...congrats! You'll have to tell me how you like it!

That's awesome! I am relatively new at the DSLR thing, but it takes a LOT of practice to figure it out. I have had mine for about 2 years now and I am still learning new things on it.

Finally, after months of debating with DH whether or not we need a DSLR to take better photos of LO (I have an iPhone 4...the camera isn't great anymore)...he bought one!

He just came home with a Canon Rebel t3. I know its not the *best* camera out there, but its the one we can afford, and infinitely better than what we have.

I am so excited to start using it...first stop, LO's 3 month pics and a Christmas card pic!

Any tips and tricks you'd recommend?
