I remember reading that part. I loved that book and all the stories in it. It may be a different baby in DNA but maybe the same soul? Just waiting on the right time?
We will never know but it's a beautiful thought to have.

Oh my goodness! I haven't made it that far in my reading but wow! God works miracles... You just never know! I agree in thinking each baby is unique.

Well, I'd say that each time conception occurs it's a unique human being (unique DNA, after all), but that is a very sweet sentiment none the less.

I love this entire book, but there was one section that gave me chills:

It was a women who had an abortion with her 1st pregnancy. Years later, she got pregnant again and had a daughter. When the daughter was a little older (still a child), the conversation about the abortion came up, and the daughter told the mom that she was THAT child. She knew the mother wanted her, just not THEN. Like, her soul waited until her mother was ready.

I can't relate, but my goodness ... what a crazy/powerful moment that must have been.

I find myself believing more & more about this sort of thing as I get older. After having a previous miscarriage, I wonder what that baby would have been like, and if this new baby growing in my belly is totally different than the last. What do you guys think?
