It's just heartbreaking to think he'll only have the summer with your LOs.<br /> My FIL is elderly and it's unlikely he'll be around much longer. DH and I have spent time taking videos of him and are keeping a journal of the stories that he tells so that in the future we will be able to share our memories of him with our kids. Then 1 year later, his cancer came back to its original force and started chemio and radio again for 7 months. </p> <p>2 weeks ago was his last treatment because his body needs rest and must be off treatments for 6 months before starting it up again. Today, he went in to do some tests to know if his cancer reduced, and what not... but they found out he has another cancer. This time intestinal. Seeing he can't have any other treatments, it only means that they can't do anything about it... and honestly my father in law doesn't want to do anything. He wants to take advantage of his 'last summer' with Mavrick and Sienna. </p> <p>It really breaks my heart because my father in law is amazing with Mavi and he won't have time to spend more time with him or my daughter. I have no clue how long that type of cancer takes to take over the body... but just thinking about it is making me cry. </p> <p>I'm so devastated for my husband and my mother in law. (and our kids) I can't stop crying. (and i'm at work!) </p>
