Not only did it take us a smidge longer than six months, I had a couple of crazy cycles - one of them was 80+ days! You didn't mention if you were charting, but I found that doing that actually helped. I started charting in the middle of that insane 80+ day cycle, but when I saw the obvious temp shift, at least I knew that SOMETHING was happening with my body.</p> <p>Thankfully DH was very supportive and we were in it together, so we just tried to make the best out of every cycle, even BD'ing for fun and not for a purpose. I got pregnant during the cycle we used Pre-Seed every time - it could've been luck, could've been the Pre-Seed, but at the moment, we were just happy that something clicked, because our next step would've been the RE referral.</p> <p>Just try to do fun things to get your mind off the serious stuff. Easier said than done, I know, and this is coming from someone who had a breakdown after a couple of months TTC with no success. I had regular periods until the month we got married then it all went hay wire. I know this is going to sound funny and I know it's not everyone's cup of tea but as I was dealing with month after month of negatives I was looking up adoption options. My husband was looking up fertility specialists. I agreed to try some fertility treatments but nothing major, just hormone therapies. I agreed to try with the condition that I got to pull the plug whenever I wanted and then we would adopt. </p> <p>I had looked at waiting children and knew that I could be their mother and love them as much as a biological child so it made me feel better to know that someday I would be a mother. I strongly believed that if my body wasn't designed to carry a chld my heart was and I would find that child.</p> <p>I think for each woman facing negative test you have to find what calms your heart. It's different for everyone. I had one friend who trained for a marathon. I think looking towards something makes it easier so you aren't focused on each single day and the disappointments that come TTC.</p> <p>Sorry I know that was long!!
