me - this is me! I had a MC january of 2016 at 38 years old. I just had my second baby in March 2017. I had strange, really light cycles after my MC, and got supper type a about it. I took all the supplements I could, did acupuncture, and started charting. I also went to my OB and asked for progesterone to lengthen my LP. Anyway, good luck!! I really wouldn't sweat your age - even though I was in your shoes and sweating mine big time..

We tried for 7 years before we got our 1st. We tried clomid, IUI and 1 1/2 rounds of IVF which yielded no good eggs. Dr. said donor eggs would be my only option because of low AMH but I just wasn't ready for that. We had a miscarriage 5 years into the process which was devastating. I got pregnant naturally at 34 and had my 1st at age 35. My 2nd baby arrived through a natural pregnancy when I was 38. I had a miscarriage at 40 and we stopped trying for #3 after that.

Over a year of trying and seeing a fertility doc where we were diagnosed with unexplained infertility (my cycles are normal, I ovulate normally, and all our tests came back fine) we managed to conceive our son on our own. My doctor like to say that the appointments scared our bodies into behaving.... He's 21 months now and we're expecting number 2 in Nov. I'll be 37 by the time the new one comes.

My friend who also has a 21 month old and is turning 41 this year is expecting in Oct. She has medical issues that require lots of doctors to make both of her little ones happen.

So while neither of the situations are the same as you I totally think you don't have anything to be worried about! Best luck at the docs next week!

You can see many comments I’ve made on past threads about my history, but the most encouraging thing I can say is that at 36 I had 2 failed rounds of ivf retrievals (like got zero good eggs) I was told I needed donor eggs. I have a known chromosomal abnormality that made my eggs total shit. We decided on one more round and I ended up with TWO good eggs/embryos. As a result I have one 8 week old and one frozen embryo. My advice is that you have a long way to go befor saying you’re out. Especially if you’re willing to receive treatment.

Before that I also was told my odds were terrible and first round of IVF I got pregnant and have a 3.5yo. I was younger (32) but still was told my odds were awful (like 15%). And it worked.

Good luck!

My story isn’t quite the same as yours, but I did spend five years trying to get pregnant with my first, I did a lot of fertility treatments (8 IUIs, 2 IVFs, 2 laparoscopys), and had low AMH, DOR, and a weirdly shaped uterus. 17 months later, at 36, I got naturally pregnant with #2. I’m sorry you’re going though this, but I don’t think you have any reason to give up hope! Good luck!

I’m feeling so defeated these days. We are TTC #2 and I m/c in late December. Since then I haven’t had a regular cycle and to the best of my knowledge, I haven’t ovulated. I tracked after I got what I thought was my period in February but never got a positive and started spotting/light bleeding again 2 weeks later.
Backstory: I have a healthy 21 mo old that I waited 11 yrs for...I will be honest and say I don’t think it had anything to do with infertility (I’ve hever received any actual diagnosis) but mostly poor understanding on how my cycle and ovulation really worked. I just stopped obsessing over it and didn’t do any tracking or preventing and fell pregnant. Since my m/c, I’ve learned a ton of information but it’s all so overwhelming.
I’m seeing my OBGYN on Monday but I’m terrified that being 36, having a m/c, irregular cycles and possibly not ovulating will just mean I can’t have another child.
I’d love some feedback, encouragement or success stories. Thanks ladies!
