DH finally told the HR person at work that he needed a couple days off for IVF and that he wouldn't have much advance notice. Fortunately she understood because she's gone through infertility herself, which made us feel less guilty. My principal and assistant principal knew I was doing IVF and were completely supportive of me. Good luck:)</p> <p>No experience here with fertility treatments but I was working as an atty while pregnant and had tons of prenatal appts early on (like once a week or so for most of the first tri). I tried to schedule appts for first thing in the morning or 430p so I wouldn't have to take so much time off. Luckily my center was on my way to work and started appointments at 7:30am. I also work in a small law firm. I told my supervising attorney about what we were going through when we did my first IUI. My supervising attorney went through IVF to have her twins so she totally understands and was really great about it. She doesn't question my appointements and really doesn't ask my any questions about where we are. She told me that if I need anyone to talk to, that I could come to her. This was kind of shocking since she isn't the most friendly person. </p> <p>As for the appointments, I try to get the last appointment of the day when possible for monitoring. I do this because my doctor is about 30 minutes away from work so it's easy to go there and then go home. I make sure to put all of my appointments on the shared calendar as soon as I know about them. I also try not to schedule anything if I have a client meeting or a deadline. This isn't always possible. I make sure that my work gets done and that my billables don't suffer too much. I have had to take work home to make u p some billables, but it hasn't been too bad. My office is really a "lifestyle" firm.
