We used the kimono style shirts in both nb and 3 month sizes. Lo was small and wore nb for a few months

We used the kimono style shirts in size NB and 3 months. I liked them for the first couple of months more than over the head onsies.

We have the kimono shirts in nb size and they are teeny tiny! They were great for LO1 who was just over 5 lbs when he got home but LO2 maybe wore them once and he was about 7.5lbs when we got home. If you think baby might be on the bigger side just stick with 3 months!

I say keep! My daughter was 8 lbs at birth and only wore NB sizes for a couple of weeks. The snap shirts are awesome. I'm definitely getting more of them for my second baby.

Ok, I'll exchange one of the Skip Hop packages for the next size up and keep the Carter's kimonos 3 mos.

I really hope the baby fits in NB for at least a week or two since I have the cutest little pack n plays waiting for him.

I would keep them. I avoided the newborn size completely, they dont stay that size for very long and some babies are too big for newborn size from birth

If they are duplicates, I'd exchange for a larger size. We didn't really use the kimono shirts. I didn't like them.

You might find that your baby won't even really fit in newborn sizes for long (or even at all!). I only wore newborn sizes for a week when I was a baby and DH never fit into them. We are anticipating only needing like a week or two worth of NB clothing, so we exchanged pretty much everything for 0-3 and 3-6.

I think the Kimono ones are just easier in general, even at three months. Not having to pull something down over their head is a big plus. My guy has a big head and everything gets stuck and he freaks out Ha ha!

Someone (no clue, who) sent the following items:

Two 3-pack packages of Skip Hop 3 month side snap short-sleeve onesies- same pattern. Total of 6 onesies.
One package 5-pack of Carter's 3 month side snap (kimono) short-sleeve shirts.

I know the side snap shirts are handy when baby first comes home and has the umbilical cord. Shouldn't those shirts be NB size, not 3 months? Based on your experience with Carter's sizing, will the 3 months kimono shirts work?

If we exchanged one of the Skip Hop packages I would get the 6 months size, since we have the same pattern already in NB size.

TIA
