With my first baby, I did have some cavities filled with no pain meds. It was very uncomfortable yet tolerable. And my dentist talked me through the whole thing which helped. I knew it would be very hard for me to go postpartum, so I did it before baby. </p> <p>I agree... I had such toothaches in the third trimester. I was convinced that I would have to have filling in every tooth in my head. I am putting off my 6 month visit to the dentist until after my LO is born. I have a tooth that needs a root canal and refuse to get it done while pregnant. I don't want them going anywhere near that area right now. Once I have my LO, though all best are off. Any of you who are ttc, now would be the time to make sure you're not overdue a filling or an extraction- I couldn't imagine either of those would be much fun with low level painkillers! </p>
