Yikes. I would definitely take an Ipad and let her watch a movie only after she starts fussing.
We don't let our LO watch too much "tv," but I'll give her my phone and let her watch youtube when she gets crazy.

Snacks and my iphone usually do the trick. He also likes playing with ice in a cup. That'll keep him occupied for a while!

Lots of food and water. That is our no fail way to keep him busy at 1 year. I would hang out outside until after the graduates walk in so that is less time to be still. He loves our phones especially toddler lock on the android. We bring books and toys if there is a place to play. He likes to empty out the diaper bag. The nice thing about graduations is that there are often lots of kids and movement. So you can go for "walks" while waiting for you loved one to go up. You could try those color wonder markers.

Nothing keeps DD occupied better than snacks. She can eat for a long time but loses interest in other things pretty quickly.

We use snacks, crayons/coloring book, YouTube and toddler game apps on our phones, and books. Weddings with DD haven't been too bad, but I'm not sure I'm brave enough to try a graduation, lol. Those last for hours!

I'm curious what folks suggest as we are taking our 2yo to a wedding at the end of June.

Is she old enough to wear headphones? If so, videos on a DVD player or ipod touch is what I'd use. Also, dollar section toys all wrapped up... new toys are always key... we found these rubber sports ball erasers at Target and they have kept him busy for an hour at a time on more than one occasion! We keep them hidden because they're such a great secret weapon!

Snacks too of course :)

Anyone have any suggestions for keeping a two year old busy for a long period? I'm going to bring snacks and some toys, but I'm trying to think of what to do to keep my daughter entertained at my youngest sister's graduation this weekend. It's going to be hot and cramped because they have it in the gym.
