Growing up, I wore a long sleeve shirt and tights under my costumes when it was cold (which it always was!)

We had these thermal layering shirts we used under Halloween costumes, so they were super warm. In fact, I remember getting hot while trick or treating because we'd run around so much and the shirts were so good at keeping us warm!

Its usually cold here too - I would probably layer 2 shirts under it and some thick tights. Carry a jacket in case she gets cold - my kids are so excited they don't even think about being cold

Maybe a warm shirt and leggings underneath? You could find a set that goes with the costume, maybe something sparkly/in the same color :)

It is going to be pretty cold on Halloween so I am going to put two long sleeved shirts & thick leggings under my LO's sleeveless costume.

My 3.5 year old daughter wanted to be a "fairy princess ballerina" for Halloween...and I somehow miraculously found a costume that seems to be exactly just that. However, the costume has spaghetti straps and is a dress so I'm worried about how to keep her warm for her school Halloween parade without covering her costume up too much with a thick jacket. It's forecasted to be about 60 degrees and cloudy where I live that day. I was hoping to find a warm cape or poncho, but haven't been able to find something reasonably priced or her size. What are you doing to keep your kids warm or do you have any tips on where to find a cute cape/poncho that won't take away from her costume too much? I know it's just a fun tradition, but it's my daughter's first "real Halloween" and she is over the moon excited about her costume. Thanks for any thoughts!
