@mrsmate: as long as you are stuffing them and the fleece is against the skin it should be pretty dry. You also can try a smaller insert if you don't need so much bulk.

@T.H.O.U.: we have 30 or 40 fuzzibunz and bumgenius pockets, and another 20-30 cotton prefolds. When I tried the pockets about a month ago, they looked so bulky, but they prob fit better now. DD is 12.5lbs.

Start and see what happens. If needed look into a fleece booster or something to help keep dry. What kind of diapers do you have?

Wet never seems to bother her as long as its wicking fabric. We don't CD at night though, so I have no idea how it would affect her there. My favorite inserts are Flip inserts. They feel almost dry on the top but are soaked on the bottom.

OK thanks, everyone. I am going to start using CDs when DD wakes up from naps and take it from there.

D wakes up SOAKED but it never bothers him. Like, when I take the diaper off, it is heavy.

the wet never really bothered her. we stopped changing her overnight when she stopped pooping overnight. around 4-5 months I noticed she was getting more wet, so we added a hemp doubler and started using wool covers. that worked until about 9 months. She then started getting occasional bad rashes (from tomato or citrus fruits- acid poop) and we wanted to be able to use zinc cream at night to help her heal/prevent. So now we use a disposable at night.

We also use disposables at night because I hated that he would wake up soaking wet. He naps in cloth though.

None of my kids ever cry or get annoyed by a wet diaper. They could wake up sopping wet and don't care at all.

We don't do anything. We don't cloth diaper at night, but do during naps. The wetness has never bothered LO, and I'm hoping that it will help us a little as we start potty training.

DD2 is 10wks old and sleeps like a champ. She naps at least 6hrs during the day, and sleeps 8-6:30 or 7 at night, with one MOTN feeding that she sleeps through. We are so, so lucky and feel like we are being rewarded after being through hell and back with DD1!

I have a big stash of CDs that I am afraid of using with DD2, because I think she won't feel as dry, and wake herself up when she wets herself. CDing moms, what do you do to keep your LOs feeling dry in their CDs?
