So I always have to come up with something new. I try to keep them in an old address book I have... though it's not entirely efficient because I tend to misplace it. The passwords are also written in code that sometimes I forget too. I also do variations of one password for sites that aren't important and include the name of the site or company in it. For example my password for here might be passhellobeeword. I use the following trick to keep them straight. Find a song you know and love. Take the first letter of each word of the song, so for the national anthem you get oscysbtdel (Oh say can you see..), vary the capitalization, and add a numeric and character sequence -- OscysBtdeL!1841! -- and voila you have a very strong, impossible to guess, password that you can remember as long as you remember your song. Then just make your hint the song name. It would make my life so much easier if I knew before entering my password. Some have more strict requirements and some don't. Some require an uppercase letter and that has been the ones I always forget. I have variations of the same password, and that's what kills me--trying to remember if I used uppercase, lowercase, numbers, special characters, etc. I'll have to check out one of the apps, although I do feel a little nervous it. @JoyfulKiwi: Discover Card now locks you out if you mess up your password a certain amount of times. The only way you can get it unlocked is to call them. But I write down the ones that I don't use very often. I find it's usually easier to have them remind you of a log in than to have to keep resetting passwords, so if I have to write down a password, I don't write down the log in. Then I feel more secure. An online site, pen and paper, your memory? I mainly try to remember mine, but it's so annoying when I can't remember, especially for sites I don't visit that often. I need a better plan!
