We can fit 3 car seats safely across the middle seat with plenty of room, and have tons of room in the back with the 3rd row folded down. To have more room for people, you can raise the 3rd row and take out one of the seats in the middle row, too (it makes the back row easier to get to). Kia Sorentos are very well made, and because they are engineered to be on a different frame (it sits on a truck frame) than most SUVs, the rollover risk is less than other vehicles in the same class. Also, the 4/6 cylinder cycling helps with gas mileage (the engine shuts off two cylinders to save gas when possible - mine usually runs on four). With the third row folded down there is plenty of cargo space. The third row is sort of a pain to get to, but if you're not planning to use it very often then that won't be a big deal (we rarely use ours). It has consistently been rated a worst car to buy from a maintenance/quality standpoint for several years. I found the Terrain to be too small for kid cargo. We got rid of it when C turned one because I had enough of battling the stroller and anything else we might be hauling (groceries). We have plenty of room in our Acadia for the four of us and we keep the third row down almost always. </p> <p>That being said, if you haul others often, the third row isn't very comfy and the leg room is pretty awful back there. I've sat back there on more than one occasion and I don't think we could get three adults back there for very long. I test drove the Kia Sorento (my 3rd favorite), Mazda CX-5 (2nd favorite), Mazda CX-7, and Honda CRV and the Hyundai was the clear winner for us. </p> <p>The Santa Fe Sport is the 2-row version of the Santa Fe, but they are very similar. The Santa Fe has rear air vents which we appreciate with our rear-facing car seat in the Georgia heat.
