You can use those puréed box soups like butternut squash, roasted red pepper, carrot ginger, etc in lieu of sauces in pasta bakes - just toss with cooked pasta and cheese and bake for a few minutes until bubbly. Or just summer cooked pasta in the soup until thickened on the stove.

add ground beef, mushrooms and onions to marinara sauce over rotini and my kids gobble it up though they wouldn't eat onions and mushrooms otherwise. you can sneak in all kinds of veggies!

Everything pasta! LOL. I've bought a spinach stuffed gnocchi that was a hit--did it in a tomato sauce.

We just do cheese sauce or fettuccini Alfredo. If I'm short on time and I have chive and onion cream cheese, I toss it on hot noodles and E likes that a lot

saute kale/spinach with a bit of garlic and then puree until smooth. Add some pesto or cream, some pasta water to thin it out and you got yourself a great green pasta sauce.

my kid likes pesto. So I will use broccoli, spinach, peas, - whatever green I have and add it to the basil, oil and cheese. She doesn't even know the difference.

I do a lot of spaghetti squash (topped with red sauce or olive oil and seasoning)

I've also made zucchini noodles and cover with sauce. She's awful at eating veggies so I pretty much do whatever I can to sneak them in. It's getting harder and harder to do though!

I buy the Barilla pasta made with veggies. I should start pureeing veggies and adding it to sauce, though - that's a great idea.

Weelicious green mac and cheese! So yummy.

Butternut squash tomato sauce.

Even if I make Annie's pasta, I try to add in peas, or chopped broccoli to make it a little healthier.

My mother is the queen of pasta dishes, she serves it every night and it's never the same thing in a month, seriously!

Some ideas that have no tomato sauce:
pasta with peas
pasta with broccoli
pasta carbonara (with bacon and eggs)
pasta with ricotta
pasta with shrimp and asian flavorings
pasta with pureed beans (usually cannellini)
pasta with garbanzo beans
stuffed shells, with ricotta and spinach

I've also pureed broccoli before and that adds in nicely (doesn't overpower the tomato), but my LO loves broccoli and will eat it alone, so I don't do that any more.

My LOs favorite food in the world is butternut squash pasta, and my very picky niece and nephew will eat it too (because they don't know what's in it).

My grocery store has frozen pureed "winter squash' (butternut), so I just microwave that while the noodles are boiling, then I put the whole package of squash into a pot with half a jar of organic low-sodium marinara.

It looks just like regular tomato sauce (slightly more orange, but it definitely tastes tomato-y). Then I just throw that on the pasta, add some Aidell's organic meatballs on top, and call it a day.

My youngest LO will almost always eat pasta but is super picky about other things, I'm guessing it has a lot to do with texture. I know it's not the healthiest but if I can sneak in some veggies or something so she doesn't notice much then I'm all for it!

Any kid friendly pasta dishes that your LO loves?
