@Mrs Green Grass: What a cutie! I got the same bow ties for my boys, she makes the cutest ones!

I have an almost 1st grader and a wild one who will hopefully start some sort of preschool in the fall if we can manage potty training before then. :)

@Mrs Green Grass: Oh my gosh...look how big and grown up he looks!

DS1 is also 4 1/2 - will be 5 in September. He's doing great, loves to swim and run, run, run. I signed him up for his first fun run this weekend and am excited to see how he does!

DS2 is 20 months - will be 2 also in September. He's the exact opposite of DS1. He's bold, clever, and much more defiant. He's a lot of fun though. He's getting 3 canines at once right now, so there are definite moments of Dr. Jekyll and Mr. Hyde, but he's adorable when he's not a teething beast.

@Mrs Green Grass: D is such a cutie! That bow tie! 😍 I'm glad to hear he is doing so well!! Reading?!?!

@Mrs. Tiger: I was excited to read your updates on the blog. Here's hoping D loses interest in pulling at his tube! That must have been scary. Glad to hear your boys are doing well. I would be interested in reading about your decision to get your tubes tied. I am intimidated at the thought but I know lots of people do it!

Our little T just turned 3 last month. He is so much fun right now. We are looking forward to a quiet summer before he starts preschool 3 days a week in the fall.

@Mrs Green Grass: We're doing pretty well here. My D just turned 1 a couple weeks ago! He's army crawling around and loves eating purees and puffs. He gets PT, OT and speech therapy every month. Its kind of hard when people think that since he's 1 he should be walking and talking, but we are nowhere even close to that. Does your Dylan still get therapy?

@Mrs. Tiger: Hi! I was so happy to read your update yesterday and hear that D is improving. I actually followed along on D's journey over the last couple years although i didn't comment very often. But I loved reading your posts!
That's great that you got a 2nd opinion for his SGS and found a clinic you're comfortable with. I also read your ER post today too. That must have been scary! I give you folks so much credit I know it can't be easy with 2 young kids plus the special needs aspect of it too. Oh and I'd love to read a post on getting your tubes tied. I have a 2 yr old and then a 25 week preemie just like Mrs. GG (coincidentally also named D) and after that whole experience I think I'm done having kids.

Here's a recent pic of my D. From 1 lb 14 oz to 22lbs now.

I'm still semi-active, so people may already know what's going on with us.

Xander is 4 and Logan is 2. We recently went on our very first family vacation, which was a cruise to the Bahamas. It went so much better than I thought and I'm glad I got a ton of advice from the Hive on what to pack and how to prepare!

@Mrs. Tiger: @Mrs Green Grass: So glad to hear your updates! I'm still very much in babyhood with my twins but I love to read updates on the kids that were born around the time my oldest was (he's spring 2013).

@Mrs. Tiger: I think hearing about how you came to decide to take permanent measures and the process and thoughts leading to it would be a very interesting read

@Mrs Green Grass: Omg can't believe how grown up D looks!! He is so handsome :) glad to hear he is doing well!

I thought about starting a similar thread in the old Chronic boards, not sure who's kicking around there anymore! I don't get on the boards as much and when I do it's mostly lurking.

Things are good over here, as I mentioned in my blog post D's health has been generally improving, which is great. He still has a very naughty personality which can be a struggle to handle at times. K is in kindergarten now, loving it, but also is dealing with some mood swing like behavior (which I understand to be normal for his age, as he learns to deal with his emotions better) which can be tough. They play together really well most of the time, which is adorable.

In other news - I got my tubes tied! Do you guys think that would be of interest on the blog?

@tiramisu: hello fellow preemie mom! Hope your LO is doing well now :)

@Mrs Green Grass: I'm not an old user of HB but lurk often. I messaged you last year when I had a micro preemie very similar to your Dylan. What amazing pictures, Dylan looks sooooo good! I'm so happy to hear he's doing well, he sounds like a great kid. And reading already?! Thats awesome! As a preemie mom i can fully appreciate how far he's come.

Mrs. Tiger's post made me wonder how other people who used to be active on here but have faded away are doing. I still lurk frequently but haven't posted in probably over a year.

Dylan is 4 1/2 now (according to him...the half is really important). He's the sweetest, most affectionate little kid ever. He's still not quite 30 pounds...working on it. He's still slower at gross motor stuff, kinda starting to ride a bike, runs awkwardly :). But he can fully read which is so cool. He's obsessed with art and makes cell phones, remote controls, all kinds of weird gadgets with tons of tape and any random supply he can find.

Would love to hear from some of the other "old guard" or new!
