I hate all the formats. I can never seem to get a movie to play when and how I want it these days. Digital aren't always compatible with my software, my bluray player sucks and won't play blurays just regular dvds, my computer stopped playing blurays until I had to pay to upgrade the software... it is all so annoying. Multi-packs (dvd/bluray/digital) are the best, but I don't think shows come like that.

I buy digital only of everything. We stream on netflix and then sometimes rent through amazon. If we want to watch something where there's no wifi, we purchase on itunes before we leave. Could you do that? I'm thinking it would be the same price as the dvd, right?

We have an ipad, an internet tv and then an apple tv for our other tv. So we really have no need for dvds.

Disney bluray/dvd comes with a code for a digital copy. I keep the dvds for home and the van and then give my mom the digital code.

We have purchased two movies digitally for LO and no shows because we stream at home, which is great. However, with the 5-6 hour plane rides we just took, we realized that it would have been awesome to have some shows for her to watch because she will actually pay attention to those as movies can be too long-winded (she's 15 months). I'm cheap though and I don't like paying $25 for a season of a kid's show! (Bubble Guppies is on the list) I've thought of buying a DVD and then burning it to my computer, but some of them have pretty strict copyrights so you can't do that (Disney comes to mind!)

Do you buy physical copies or digital copies for your LO's viewing pleasure?
