@Astro Bee: @dc yoga bee: oh I forgot - my Mom found that my LO was much less gassy if she squished the air out of the bag before feeding! before she did that, my LO was super gassy.

@dc yoga bee: @Astro Bee: my baby likes the avent natural and the kiinde nipples - she'll take either!

I have the system, less the warmer, and like it. I've used the foodi for my toddler (applesauce), and the milk system for my infant. A bag split on my Mom a couple weeks ago but that happened in the past with Lansinoh and Medela bags, too, so I don't attribute that to just Kiinde. They're always sharing promotions, free products and coupons, too - and excellent customer service.

@DC Yoga Bee: I'm sure some babies like the Kiinde nipples, as every baby has their own preference. Yours may. The Avent Natural were a better match for us, though. I like the breastmilk storage bags, but I haven't tried any other kind. You can buy them on their own, and they aren't very expensive. But I would definitely recommend the Kozii warmer, if that wasn't part of what you received from your registry.

@Astro Bee: So, you just transfer Kiinde bag into the Avent natural bottles? Those are the bottles we got from our registry as well. I was concerned if babies actually like the Kiinde bottles and nipples. But, it sounds like you still find it a good value without using the Kiinde bottles!

I have the whole system minus the food purée part (although the bags are actually the same). I love the warmer, and even DH is excited about how easy it is. I pump directly into the bags from my Medela pump using the Kiinde adapters. They have them for pretty much every pump you can think of. I did try the "bottle" and nipple system with the freezer bag, and while I liked that you didn't have to transfer the milk to a separate container, I found that the container that holds the bag to be a little big for my hands. Still, I would have kept using it if LO liked the nipple. I had bought both the slow and fast nipples, but it took him forever to finish a bottle and he would fuss quite a bit. We also tried the Medela bottles and Calma nipple and the Avent Natural bottle and nipple. So far he seems to like the last one best, so our MO is to thaw and warm using the warmer, and transfer to the Avent bottles. It works for us, but then again, LO is primarily breastfed, with the bottles for when I leave him with DH for mommy time.

I agree with @CakeLady:that the warmer is slow (7 mins for a 2 oz frozen bag), the fact that it is so slow does actually preserve as much of the nutrients as possible, and it only warms it to the desired temperature - no hot spots!.

We just have the bottle warmer. I like it, it works well (though DH and my mom use it most). The downside is that it is pretty slow, especially if you are dealing with frozen breastmilk or food cubes, which is not so fun with a hangry baby.

Curious to hear other's thoughts as well! I received it off my registry, but haven't tried it yet. It sounds perfect in theory, so I hope I love it!

Anyone use the Kiinde system for pumping, feeding, purées, etc.? Thoughts?
