@winter_wonder: We've had ours for a few years and it hasn't broken. Like @SugarplumsMom said, it gets used a lot for a few days and then not at all for the rest of the year, but it hasn't broken. Just wear gloves, after a few hours you get blisters.

@winter_wonder: I have one and it's held up well. We've had it for 3 or 4 years, but I don't use it often. I usually go crazy for a day or 2 each season and then forget about it.

DH hates it because it makes holes in his precious lawn. He calls it the hole-maker :meh: But it's so fun to use and so rewarding whenever you get the whole root intact.

We had the Fiskars and while it worked super well, ours did break the first season we had it! There was a plastic piece that went into the ground and it got bent and broke. Maybe the newer ones are more durable.

I've heard vinegar is really effective. We just let 'em grow; the tops get lopped off when we mow anyway.

@erinbaderin: this looks cool! Some reviews on Amazon talk about breaking quickly. Has yours held up well?

We do it manually, which is really effective. We use a little weed tool (like a skinny shovel), but it's totally hands-and-knees work.

I've heard about boiling water?? But that might just be for driveways, because I'd imagine that would kill the lawn.

Following. I would love to not have to use chemicals in our yard.

The only thing that I've found to work manually pulling them out. I like the Fiskars weed puller.
