About a year ago, I started having pain and what felt like a lump right where my underwire hit me. I've been underwire free for probably 8 or 9 months now and the pain and lump are gone. I will never go back to underwire (even though I am a DD). I wasn't pregnant or breastfeeding either and was very freaked out. It was most likely from going off birth control (any kind of hormonal change can cause it... or basically anything at all) and apparently TONS of women in their 20s and 30s routinely find breast lumps. I had no idea! Try not to freak out if you can. Are you making a dr appointment for after Dec 1? Its never fun to be scared. </p> <p>Is the lump in your breast or in your arm pit? You have lots of glands and lymph nodes in that area that can get swollen. It can be to a reaction from anything. Just like the lymph nodes in your neck get swollen when you are sick. </p> <p>Good news is that December 1st is right around the corner, I would get an appointment for that following Monday and see what they say. I'm the type of person who is more comfortable in a bra than not, I'm even known to sleep in them. Lately all I want to do is take it off, it hurts. Yesterday while I was in the shower I noticed that it was really painful under my left arm, then I felt a big (egg sized) lump. My dh couldn't feel anything when I told him about it later that evening (Happy Birthday Baby, I found a lump). </p> <p>Since he's been laid off for a year and just went back the last week in October our insurance doesn't start until December 1st. I don't want to go to the Dr. and find something awful and then have a pre-existing condition. </p> <p>This is not a fun feeling. </p>
