I usually limit its use to once a week, though, since the clean-up is annoying. My 2.5 year old really does love it, but it leaves a trail of sand everywhere because it will stick to her clothes and feet and while yes, it does have "clumping" qualities that help it bind to each other, it's still sand at the end of the day. She can play with it supervised.
