I think we had a choice between black and stainless. We chose is stainless. I highly recommend a double oven. It heats so fast- like 7 minutes so it's basically a built in toaster oven. And the bottom is great for baking or holiday cooking at separate temperatures. We went with Bosch for the dishwasher, gas cooktop, wall oven and warming drawers. Bosch had a great rebate program where you get 10% back if you purchase 3 qualifying appliances. I just received my Amex card for almost $400. In their instance, they wanted matching over quality because it is a vacation place.</p> <p>I'd recommend looking at Consumer Reports for the big appliances. If you're looking into stainless you'll want to make sure that the "grain" of the steel looks okay against a different brand. Some of the grains run top to bottom, some from side to side. I find some stainless also looks really silver in colour and others are darker. We have Frigidaire gallery stainless appliances in fingerprint proof stainless steel and I LOVE them. They're 5 years old and so far have been great.
