I say none. They have a tendency to get real crush looking, and the soap leaves because it eats away at the sealer that is used to secure the pump. Just my 2 cents

Just one for dish soap.
FWIW I design high end kitchens ($100-250k) and have never used two soap dispensers.

@BadgerMom: not stupid, that actually makes sense, I've always just had both dish and hand soap.

@PinkElephant: good point, I guess it would make more sense to use the built-in dispenser for dish soap and get a pretty dispenser for hand soap

I voted just to one, but I'd use it for dish soap, since I buy that in ugly bulk containers and hand soap is more readily available in pretty ones :) I've always had a built in dish soap dispenser and put my hand soap dispenser on the countertop....or just used the dish soap as hand soap, or washed my hands in the bathroom. Honestly I think a two dispenser set up would look weird (but maybe just bc I've never seen one).

Ok so this may be a really stupid question, but is hand spoap and dish soap really that different?I've always had one soap dispenser at the kitchen sink (growing up and as an adult) and we just put dish soap in it but used it for both our hands and our dishes.

I've seen one on each side of the faucet and I think it looks fine. I don't think they need to be out at the corners.

Very important question

We're having new kitchen counters and a new sink and faucet installed tomorrow. We also bought two in-counter soap dispensers - one for hand soap and one for dish soap. The issue is we can't agree on where they should go. I pictured them both on the same side of the faucet, but DH pointed out that the air gap for the dishwasher will also be there and it will look crowded. He pictured one on either side of the faucet...like 3 inches to each side, which I think will look odd. If we're doing one on each side, I think they should be more toward the corners of the sink. So...what should we do? I can't find any pictures online of sinks with two built in soap dispensers so any perspective is appreciated
