I'm sure it's much easier to find this kind of thing in NYC! I had a hard time finding someone in (south) NJ plus it clashed with my lifestyle to have someone truly old-school Korean here, so I ended up choosing a postpartum doula and am freezing miyukgook that can be reheated easily. Don't know if you are part of a church or know someone who is but that might be somewhere to start? Good luck in your search!

I am starting to think about postpartum care for after I give birth in November. I've seen a few posts on the boards here in regards to Korean ajuma helpers. Does anyone have any recommendations for where to look for this type of help, or can recommend anyone for this type of help? And does anyone have any idea of cost? Looking for someone to stay with me for about 1 month. Any recommendations would be greatly appreciated!
