Washed it, and the fit was just about perfect - guess I'm going to have to wash it every few days :bummed:

@runnerd: id call and ask for an exchange sounds like you need a small. FWIW I preferred my ergo with insert at 10 weeks.

Do not have it altered. IMO

When my LO was that small, I used a rolled up small blanket under his butt, sort of like a newborn insert. I probably didn't start using it more until he was about 8-10lb though.

@alphagam84: was just about to say I'm going to try washing it after reading this thread. I wear a size 8 -10 dress pre-preg. I just don't think it should be a small! But it is def too loose at moment.

Try washing and drying to shrink it a little. My husband did that to mine by accident and it shrunk and was tight on me for a week or two 'til it stretched back out.

@oliviaoblivia: ok gotcha!

I wonder if their customer service is sympathetic, would exchange? I followed all their instructions on what size to order! But I bought through target. I've been using for over a week so don't feel like I can return it.

I had a similar problem with the K'tan. I had the XS and it just didn't fit right. I think next time around I will go for the SollyBaby wrap instead.

@runnerd: do not have it taken in. Baby wearing products are tested for strength and safety. Any alterations could be very dangerous.
I couldn't get the sizing right with k'Tan either. 😕

No help because this happened to me and I was never able to get a good fit. It was initially way too tight so we couldn't use it at all, and then after I stretched it out a bit (and lost some baby weight), it would feel good for a few min and then quickly get too saggy. I gave up and sold it. :/

So frustrating - based on everything I could tell, I would not be a small, but it definitely does not fit like @littlebug: says in any way at all.

Do you think it if I had it taken in an inch on each strap it would help? I wish I knew what the size diff was in small and medium straps

I think you probably need to size down. When I first put the ktan on, it felt so tight I was almost afraid I was smooshing her! But after a few minutes it does stretch and is super comfortable.

Yea maybe try a smaller size? Mine saga after wearing it about a week, not minutes. I do think the instructions say the baby should be over 8 lbs though, but I'm not sure if that would make it sag.

Sounds like it might be too big? If it sags after awhile, it probably isn't quite snug enough. I found I had to size down in the K'Tan to get a proper fit!

I bought a K'tan wrap in size medium last week. I've been using it with my newborn, but can't get a secure hold. Even if it starts out nicely (forehead kissable, secure wrap), it gets saggy within minutes, and I have to keep my hand on his head the whole time.

He is still<8lbs. Do you think he just needs to grow into it more? Or did I get the wrong size? I'm 5'3" and mid-160s currently. I purchased a medium. Considering taking to dry cleaner and having an 1-2in shortened on each strap...

Thanks for thoughts!
