I guess I'm used to the snugger fit of the moby? It just felt a little loose. Maybe when I wash and dry it it will be better. She still managed to take an hour and a half nap in it - the only way she would sleep!

@Foodnerd81: that size actually looks good on you, I think I you tuck her head in a little bit it will be more supportive of her. You can always fold the fabric back to let her peek out.
FWIW, I have a size small and I am a size 4-6. So I don't think a small would fit you.

@Foodnerd81: hmmm it's kind of hard to tell from the photo. It looks like it fits ok to me. Does it feel pretty snug? Or does it feel too loose? Gah, my baby is so small in that photo above! but for reference, mine is a small. Maybe call baby k*tan? They might be more helpful than me. lol

Reviving those old thread and hoping you experts can help me. This is too big, right? It's a medium which is what the size chart said but I feel like she is too low? Or would wash and drying it fix it (this is fresh out of the box so I can exchange it if need be). I wore a size M or 10 pre preg and am currently between a medium or large now. Help?

I have to hold her head in this and the moby. She wants to look around but her neck isn't quite strong enough. She's 3 weeks old and about 8.5 lbs.

@travelingbrit: oh yes too large again. Here is a pic of my LO in mine when he was about a month old. I have the small. Maybe u need the medium then. Have you tried calling their customer service? They also have a lot photos with pp using it on their website.

I'll admit I want a moby/woven wrap so I can back wrap! I would love that so she could face out w/o being so "out there" & having the strain on her pelvis/lower back (why we don't do the adventure position).

@scg00387: awww. it definitely seems like the sizing is really important with the K'tan. The moby is so intimidating. I watched this video before I decided: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=1ThAv6JeVmA

Too bad the K'tan didn't work for you. Please let me know how the moby works out!!! If it is easier than it looks I might try it out.

I definitely had to play with it when P fit in it kangaroo style. Sometimes the side where her head would be would kinda come up & I'd have kind of "fold" it over on my shoulder, or adjust her some. I figured it out though & she still likes it!

Now we do the "hug" just about 100% of the time!

@runsyellowlites: Thanks so much for the picture!
It makes things easier to visualize seeing on a real person.

Like you mentioned, your fit seems very similar to DH (I deleted his picture because he was freaking out his face was in it)

The K'tan seemed to fit me similarly to DH before I put B in it. Also P seems to have her head facing upwards instead of inwards like B.

I think I'll do a little more playing around tomorrow if B tolerates it. It's so comfortable I dont want to give up yet.

It looks like it fits right on your DH but maybe still too big on you?

Here's a pic I have of P in it when she was around a month old.... I think maybe 7lb (she was 6.1 at birth) & please excuse the terrible quality pic. Lol

@Meggo5: @runsyellowlites: @mrskc: OK so I exchanged it.

The large seems to fit better but it still doesn't look right.
Is it that Benji is still too little (1 month old approx 8lbs)?
Are we doing something wrong?
He seems too low and his nose seems too close to my chest.

I really really want to babywear but the K'tan doesn't seem to be working out. Should I try a different carrier?

Pics of the large below:

So I bought the K'tan when Amazon Mom had their 20% off event, before LO arrived. I was a dress size 18 pre-pregnancy so bought the XL size.
Now that he's here and weighs enough to use it I decided to try it out.
I followed the instructions for the kangaroo hold, and it doesn't seem right.
Either a) the K'tan is too big or b) I'm doing something wrong.

Can you guys look at the picture and let me know if I'm doing something wrong or if I need to get the Large instead?

HELLLLP! Thanks in advance.
