Thanks ladies!
Thankfully, the contractions stopped last night. She needs to keep till full term! Guess I really should pack my hospital bag and a overnight bag for LO soon!

Mine were totally different. First time water broke and then contractions. Lasted 3 hours from water breaking until DS arrival. Dd contractions first and water broke-lasted less than an hour start to finish. I was not expecting to have contractions and then water break with my second!

Similar and yet very, very different in getting there. With #1 out of nowhere my water broke at 39 weeks. With #2 I felt like he was going to come flying out at any minute, but he waited until his due date. So, so, so many times I thought he was coming, but I was wrong.

Both were fast, start to finish in under 8 hours (second was more like 5). #2 was so much easier though!

Second was so.much.faster! I had to be induced with my 1st about 12 hrs after my water broke because nothing was progressing. There were no real signs of imminent labor beforehand.

With my second, I was a bit crampy in the afternoon, and had a few contractions while walking my toddler home from playgroup. I figured if just overdone it (this was around 5:30), but within 2 hrs I was in full blown labor, and had the baby within 4 hours of those first few contractions.

Sooooo....yes my symptoms were similar in that they weren't much/ didn't give a ton of lead time. I'd say get ready, girl! :) good luck!

I had cramping in the afternoon followed by what I thought were a few Braxton hicks around 5:30 after walking my daughter home from school. I thought I overdid it pushing her stroller, but by 7:39 it was clear I was in full blown labor and DD #2 was born before 10!

My fusty pregnancy nothing really happened until my water broke. Even them I didn't progress, so I was induced about 12 hours later. Guess my body worked out what to do the second time around.

This isn't that helpful but none of my labors were alike! With my first, I didn't feel any contractions until after my water broke. With my second, I was admitted to L&D for an induction but my contractions showed I was in early labor although I didn't feel them. With my third, I had period like cramping, pressure and contractions daily from 36-38 weeks then I delivered when I hit 39 weeks. The only way I knew I was in active labor was when I started shaking from the pain/adrenaline so I decided to go straight to the hospital when those contractions started (which was a good idea since I got to triage at 7 cm's).

For those with 2 or more?

Were your labor symptoms the same during each pregnancy?

With my first it was period like cramping. Wondering if it will be the same this time?

I overdid it a bit today and have been having "contraction like" movement low in my belly followed by intense vagina pressure for the past 30 minutes or so.

I probably just overdid it today.....
