http://www.howsweeteats.com/2015/02/lactation-cookies/

It has 3 cups of oats, 1/4 C of freshly ground flaxseed meal, and 7 T of brewer's yeast.

I used this recipe and I made probably 24 last week and I ate them all in like 4 days  and noticed that by the last day I pumped about 1.5-2 times what I usually pump.

I didn't make them to increase my supply though - I made them because I had the ingredients and I was dying for some cookies!

But besides those things, I've seen things like "lactation milk" and "lactation smoothies" which may have fewer calories, but still have the galactagogues.

And I've noticed that on days I take calcium and drink an absurd amount of water (like a gallon or more), my milk production increases a lot. So for me, more than the cookies or anything, what really helps are calcium and water.

I made something similar, but my recipe had peanut butter and crushed nuts. I have one a day usually and I don't notice if they are making a difference. Are you eating and drinking enough? Also, there are herbal supplements you can take to increase your supply: fenugreek and blessed thistle. Or there are teas that have those ingredients in them. I have a breastfeeding tea and I feel that is more effective than the cookies.

I made some lactation cookies last night and had 2 last night and 2 this morning. I was hoping to see an increase in my pumping output and haven't yet. Did they work for you?

How long do they take to work?

This is the recipe I used and didn't deviate from it other than subbing choc chips for M&M's.
