I am going between the expedition parka you mentioned and the stormer 3-1. What draws me to the 3 in 1 is that he could wear the fleece in the car, and put the shell on once he's out of the carseat. But the parka, he'd have to wear something completely different. DH likes the parka better though. It did a great job of blocking out the wind! Super warm - he actually gets hot in it! We are in PA and also have pretty cold winters.</p> <p>As for size, my kids are on the smaller end and I got him the little boys M (5/6) and there is some extra room. I bought it last year in the end of season clearance and we have zero complaints. The rating is warmest yet the temp range given is -15/25F. I'm not sure how accurate their temp rating is?<br /> This will be the play in snow and walk around outside in nyc coat. We live upstate where winter is October to April and temps are almost always in the teens, so she needs something really warm!</p> <p>Also, how do they fit?
