She definitely made the sounds, but I didn't think associated it.</p> <p>Now? Words come out of her like "tractor", "shadow", "bubbles", "up please", "hockey", "all done", sings lines from songs, like wtf....knows how and when to use the words, it's crazy. I won't even go there on her repeating everything! Just have to say it once and she's put together the association and is all over it. It is near scary how fast this has all come about! She says my first name (which is what she calls me), thank you, bath, bottle, milk, more, Cheerios, my treasure (this is what she calls the remote control), this is yours, here, and "kill ba." She knows people's names, she's even joking by calling people the wrong name and then laughs and corrects herself, she's stringing 2-3 words together to make semi-sentences, it's wonderful. I think my dd is going through hers now at 17 months. She will repeat any word I say and she remembers them amazing well. Just this week she started saying, blueberry, jacket, purple, yellow, mine, snack, show, and I'm sure a couple I can't remember. </p> <p>She'll stand around with me telling me stories ( a bunch of babbling) for minutes at a time and then sometimes she just starts laughing like she's remembering something funny! </p>
